Prêts à Partir ? Interactive exhibition for families
A first for the Château de Prangins: A role-playing game for young and old!
The Château de Prangins lets you play the main character in stories inspired by real figures from history. During the trip, you can slip into the role of Gwen, an Englishwom and Heidi fan; of aristocrat Lucie who goes picnicing with her children; or of 11-year-old Kaspar, forced to leave his village in the Grisons to work in German farm fields.
You choose which era to enter, always surrounded by authentic objects in an evocative travel setting: Train station platform, boat landing or stable. A little practice lets you figure out the operation of a funicular train, a stereoscope, or even a train-station nickelodeon (automaton).
You’ll discover the exceptional 18th-century Pictet horse-drawn sedan, formerly owned by Geneva mayor Isaac Pictet, enhanced by a pair of life-size resin horse sculptures, faithful renditions of mecklembourg horses. Their creation was made possible thanks to the financial support of the Friends.
